How Backchannels pricing works
Backchannels is priced per contact, not per seat and not per month. You buy credits up front, and one credit unlocks one contact. Credits cost $0.08 each and never expire. Your first purchase can start at 100 credits ($8); after that the minimum is 1,000 credits ($80). There is no subscription, no annual contract, and no per-seat licence — if your team stops prospecting for a quarter, you spend nothing.
Searching and filtering the database is free. You can browse the full 225,000-contact database, filter it down to your ICP, build lists, and see how many matches you have before you spend a single credit. A credit is only consumed at the moment you unlock a contact's details.
What one credit unlocks
Unlocking a contact reveals their full verified record, and you keep it permanently — re-viewing a contact you have already unlocked never costs another credit.
- Verified work email address
- Direct phone number where available
- LinkedIn profile URL
- Job title, function and seniority
- Company, company size and region
- Export to CSV, or sync straight to Salesforce or HubSpot
Bulk credit packages
Buy any amount up to 10,000 credits directly. Above that, four bulk packages are available at the same $0.08 per credit:
| Package | Contacts unlocked | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 50,000 credits | 50,000 | $4,000 |
| 100,000 credits | 100,000 | $8,000 |
| 250,000 credits | 250,000 | $20,000 |
| 500,000 credits | 500,000 | $40,000 |

Why pay per contact instead of subscribing?
Most B2B contact databases sell annual seat-based subscriptions with a credit allowance attached. That model has two problems for smaller GTM teams. First, unused allowance typically expires at the end of each billing period, so you pay for capacity you never used. Second, pricing scales with headcount rather than with usage, which penalises a two-person team that prospects heavily.
Paying per contact inverts both. Your cost is a direct function of how many buyers you actually contacted, credits carry over indefinitely, and adding a teammate does not change the price. The trade-off is honest: if you unlock hundreds of thousands of contacts a year, a negotiated bulk package is the better fit — which is why those exist.
Pricing questions
- Do I need a credit card to sign up?
- No. You can create an account, search the database and build lists without entering payment details. You only pay when you choose to buy credits.
- Do credits expire?
- No. Credits stay in your account until you use them, with no monthly reset and no expiry date.
- What happens if I unlock a contact and the data is wrong?
- Flag it with the feedback control on the contact record. We investigate and correct it, and we will make the credit right.
- Is there a minimum purchase?
- Your first purchase can be as small as 100 credits ($8). After that the minimum is 1,000 credits ($80). You can buy any amount up to 10,000, then the bulk packages listed above.
- Can I get a refund on unused credits?
- Credits are generally non-refundable once purchased, but because they never expire, unused credits remain available in your account indefinitely.
- Does unlocking the same contact twice cost two credits?
- No. Once you have unlocked a contact, it stays unlocked for your account at no further cost.
